Is there a country where you are actually valued for what you are and do?
Question by Anatra: Is there a country where you are actually valued for what you are and do?
I was born in the Netherlands, but because one of my parents was born outside of the Netherlands, I am officially an “allochtoon” (meaning that you or your parents were born outside of Holland)
These past years marked a strong rise of fascism, where the term “allochtoon” equals “criminal, lazy, stupid, jobless, religious fanatic” that should be “kicked right back” or “put in camps”.
I’m a hard working University student, with no criminal record yet I’m treated like scum. I would like to know whether there is any country left where people are appreciated for what they are?

I’m sure you’d fit in at some schools in the U.S. I’m not saying this place we live in is perfect, but really, you’d find your place at one of the schools I’m positive.
Do a lot of research online and if you can afford to move over here, and you have someone to come with, then great!
In trying to find your way and avoid the putdowns and negativity, you will find new obstacles to deal with. But that’s life.
Get in there, and throw some punches!
